A cultural celebration: Public invited to Filipino American Heritage Month events at UH-Hilo

The Filipino American Heritage Month organizing committee at the University of Hawaii at Hilo invites the community to join in a celebration of Filipino culture, heritage and history during a number of events taking place on campus.

Among the scheduled activities are a film screening, lecture, Filipino studies conference, Barrio Fiesta, exhibits and a cultural night.

The colorful and entertaining Barrio Fiesta, which usually kicks off the monthlong celebration, instead will be at 5 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Campus Center Plaza.
